Many Manufacturers entered the Indian Market , Whether be it the American brands , Japanese Manufacturer or more but in current time out of these , many Manufacturers have also left India , Whether be it Ford or Chevrolet , also one of the such manufacturer was the sporty Japanese car manufacturer Mitsubishi .

Mitsubishi entered India in1998 with the introduction of  Lancer which went through a facelift and a diesel engine was also introduced ,lancer used to be a sporty looking car and was very popular among the youth , and not only this there used to be an other suv at that time that was very popular -The Pajero , and I still remember it as i used to have an miniature of the same And talking about the Lancer , as per the some sources Mitsubishi used to also sell Lancer Evolution x , the model which was used even in Fast and furious Tokyo drift .

Mitsubishi was introduced in India with the alliance of HM . As per the Go Mechanic report , Mitsubishi was not directly involved in neither in running the network , nor the working of the same which may be one of the reasons for losing the spark . As Hindustan Motors closed down its operations long time back which indirectly affected the Manufacturer in regrowing the business operations and rebuilding the network , also for the certain period as per some experts company did not brought the facelift or newer models especially when there was a huge demand for the cars .

As per the Motor Beam’s report , there was an investor ready for inputing the amount of rs 500  500 crores into the Indian arm of Mitsubishi, which would have resulted in the setting-up of an assembly line in Jamshedpur for manufacturing vehicles which would rival the Hyundai Creta and Toyota Fortuner, Also further stated that only 6 employees had been left with inactive showroom . However even before going out of hands , Mitsubishi Managed to sell about 30 Pajero Sport which was the latest edition , and from April 2018-January 2019, it retailed 164 cars .

Some experts also belive that Mitshubishi May re-enter the market soon , and personally i also belif so as there are some leaks going on about Hindustan Motors to come back resulting into taking back the Mitsubishi
