Maruti Suzuki Swift has been one of the Beloved Hatch from the Japanese manufacturer and its sporty look has been created a legacy right from its first gen. And to continue the legacy the Manufacturer has launched the all new Maruti swift 2024 facelift , which is a completely new generation with a refreshed design but still sticks to the same formula which created this legend .

Since the New generation swift sticks to the same formula and to continue the legacy .You get a standout designed where it is equipped with a sportier Japanese style inspired Front grilles and LED lighting DRL’S set up. Further more this new generation gets more bigger when compared to the last gen . Many of you might say that swift is not the original swift any more , well that s true but in a positive opinion . The car has been improved to provide you light weight and nimble design also making it fun to handle .it is now bigger in length providing more space , It has been modernized with nicer interiors, more features, better suspension, and surprisingly a better engine?

Guess what ? The interiors have been modernized yet retaining the nostalgic feel of all black layout as in the old car . But to make it more modernized you get the metal inserts . On gazing the interiors first .You might think it is a Baleno well it is a similar to the Baleno . But with little bit of twerks . The fit around is top notch but you are offerd with Low-quality plastic in the lower portion of the cabin. Though it is swift , yet you are still getting top of line features . Including the 9 inch touchscreen system for the multimedia, single-zone digital climate control, wireless phone charging tray, rear AC vents, a selection of other charging options from Type-A to Type-C USB ports, and an old-school cigarette lighter plug-in as well.
Engine upgrade or a downgrade ?
The biggest change might be under the hood. The 2024 Swift ditches the old engine for a new z series engine 1.2-liter, three-cylinder unit. With an output of 80 bhp . But This brand new engine which Suzuki has developed for the new Swift , besides india , is , also offerd in Japan and certain European markets. This new engine is a future prospect for other Maruti cars .
Well in other markets we get an option with CVT . Some say that the global level gets ADAS .Instead of CVT we get the option of a 5-speed AMT gearbox along with 5 -speed Manual . Surprisingly when compared to k series engine , The new engine produces eight bhp less than before. But gets a good spread of torque at low revs and in the mid-range.
K series and Z series engine
Imagine you’re cruising along on a road trip. The old K-Series engine was like a race car – it really came alive when you pushed it hard and reved the engine high. But for everyday driving, it wasn’t using all its potential.
However The new Z-Series engine is more like a chill companion for your travels. It delivers its best performance at the most commonly used speeds, between 2,000 and 4,000 rpm.
Even though it has slightly less horsepower than the K-Series, the Z-Series feels more responsive at lower revs, making it a more comfortable and practical choice for everyday driving. Well vibrations ? What are they the new swift says since the vibrations coming through the pedals and the gear lever are very less . Unless you rev it beyond 4,000rpm it doesn’t have that typical three-cylinder thrum either. One thing need to consider ? Is that since new swift is down in power it is not as quick as older one .
