My modified old Innova model holds a special place in many families’ hearts, serving as a reliable companion on countless journeys and adventures. For my family, our Innova is not just a car; it’s a treasure trove of memories. Today, I invite you to join me on a journey as I share the remarkable story of restoring our beloved family MPV. Modified old Innova I ; Initial Purchase
Our own journey with the Modified old Innova began on a memorable day—January 17, 2008. While I may not recall the specifics of that day, the car has been an integral part of our family for as long as I can remember. .
My father is a car dealer who once had got a good condition Innova in the stock so he had decided to go for the same car ,unfortunately or for a good reason only the car got sold out .Because of that only we were able to get our own new car i.e. Innova . Initially he had got a pretested Innova in the lot , which he used for a good time and then went for the purchase of the new one .
Modified old Innova : Old memories
Obviously since its a 15 year old car , we definitely have old and quite memorable memories . To be honest i don’t remember the exact memories but yes there are few which i remember , we had taken the car to long routes like Sirdhi , Matherhan and many other places . Once my brother and cousin had taken the same to goa too . It was like the car is there let us go pack the bags and leave .
The car has always been with us like a shield for us , i remember one incidence which my father has told where , when he was travelling Bombay and returning back , a truck had dashed into the car but nothing had happened to my father .
This is just one incidence of the car acting as a shield , there are many stories and incidence and most recent one is the 2 years old when i was travelling to Bombay and i was sitting in the front .A school bus driver was driving the bus at a high speed , and he dashed the car in the front and my whole front fender had been dashed . I ran back at the bus and clicked the photo where his number was there. Then we had called the agency and had lodged the complain and called him . we had then put the car into the workshop and had to repair everything but we did not do full fledge .
Innova: modification stage
Well the biggest modification was replacing the type 1 grilles and taillights with type 2 and further the restoration process begin with denting and painting to cover up the visible battle scars. Despite the challenges, seeing our car undergo this transformation filled us with anticipation for the journey ahead. Next came the polishing stage, where the expertise of a local car detailing shop brought back the vehicle’s luster, reminiscent of its glory days.
Purchase / Add ons
I have tried to keep my car stock as much as possible with little bit of Modifications to make Innova bit Modified old Innova . To keep the floor clean beidge floor mats From subtle additions like a Limited logo badge to practical upgrades such as a high-quality HP front Dash Cam and a Bostick Infotainment touchscreen display . Each modification served to enhance both aesthetics and functionality. Adding a pop of vibrant red PVC piping to the air conditioning vents. Attached to it is the Nitro shaped car perfume thus creating the feel of the Limited series
One of the highlights of the restoration process was the revamp of the sound system. In addition to the factory-installed speakers, we installed premium JBL speakers and a Panasonic amplifier, creating an immersive audio experience for every journey.
Inspired by modern automotive trends, we decided to add a touch of sophistication with custom monograms. Just like the iconic mascots adorning the fenders or front doors of contemporary vehicles, we added the elegant Innova monogram to both front doors. This subtle addition not only adds a touch of class but also reaffirms our pride in our beloved MPV.
Furthermore, while Innova came equipped with the standard Company Auto Corp keychain, we opted to keep the same . But only replacing the Limited keychain, we added a touch of exclusivity to every journey. It’s these small yet significant touches that truly make our Innova feel like a reflection of our family’s unique style and personality.
Maintenance and Upgrades:
With over 200,000 kilometers under its belt, our Innova had faithfully journeyed alongside us through countless adventures. However, as with any vehicle, wear and tear inevitably take their toll. One of the most critical components of any vehicle is its tires. After years of dependable service, it was time to bid farewell to the worn-out treads and embrace a new set of wheels. we prioritized both durability and performance, ensuring optimal traction and stability on every road surface. we chose to complement our new tires with a set of stylish alloys. By adding these premium alloy wheels, we not only improved the visual appeal of our Innova but also enhanced its handling and ride quality.
With each upgrade, we reaffirm our bond with our beloved MPV, ensuring that it remains a reliable companion for years to come.
