Well Renault had launched the all new Kiger 17 months earlier and the compact SUV has been given some minor updates to celebrate its 50,000-unit production milestone. Although we did not got the chance to review this special edition but we have revied the other Non limited Kiger and Honestly speaking that too is good. We have reviewed the RXZ opt dual tone , manual transmission .
The front facia is quite bolder and attractive ,Although it looks similar to the Renault Kwid but with the different styling , twerks and design , you do get the LED Drl’s like the Kwid but the headlamps has been changed you get the projector led headlamps which Renault calls to be the pure vision led headlamps which are so powerful , you don’t need fog lamps and this i am speaking Honestly by tuning on the headlamps itself . Grilles are also beautiful looking with the chrome garnish and in the middle you do get the chrome finish Logo which is just placed as the Kwid , downwards you get the smaller vents with the skid plates ,and as you move toward the side you get the 16 inch diamond cut alloys with Mac Pherson strut with Lower Transverse link with front Disc brakes which is actually a quite essential feature especially when you go in the potholes and in rough roads . just above you get the black cladding , and on the front fender only you get the RXZ badging with the black panel giving a great look . ,instead of placing it on the rear profile . Rear profile is also quite good and sporty unlike the Renault Kwid , you get a sharp C shape led Taillamps , even the reflectors are in the c shape which is great to see in terms of looks and design , if you look closely down on the rear windows , it looks little bit bumped which resembles to the rear spoiler but actually it is not , but looks attractive , actual rear spoiler is above in black roof (dual tone ), reverse camera placement is also quite good , it has been placed in the middle of the Renault logo , downward you get the parking sensors with the grey skid plates . The ground clearance is also quite good enough . Kiger is based on the CMF-A+ platform, the same as that of Magnite and Triber.
Interior looks quite premium ,3 Spoke sportier steering wheel with steering controls and phone connectivity is offered , but i did not find the cruise control , i thnik so it is available in limited edition , you get a quite refreshed black Colour interior with little bit of brown treatment on the above of glove box where you get a light brown colour and as you move towards the driver side it gets darker , which looks quite Atrractive and for the entertainment , you get a 8 inch touch screen with android apple car play support and ,one more special thing on the Screen is that whenever the home screen or always on display clock is displayed you get a beautiful landscape picture which is again unique and i havent find something like this in any of the cars untill now .Arkamys stereo system. Optional features include Philips PM 2.5 AC air filter
you get other features too like the Auto climate ac , with the wireless charging and the placement of controls for the AC is also quite good as it is little bit hidden just in middle of the AC dials ,down you get the small space and just below the AC Dials that you get the space you get the wireless charging pad . You get the push button start and the placement is also quite good and on the side you get a type A usb port , i found only 1 in the whole car . i dont know why the same has happened . Electeric sunroof is missing out which is available in the competitors .
The cabin is quite roomier and also comfortable , not only in the front row , but also in the rear row where 3 people can comfortably sit because the hump in the floor is lower which is a great thing , and even the headroom is great , just for refrence , i am 5’7 and also a taller and healthy person than me sat , and he sat comfortably .
You also get a massive boot space of 405 liters on the offer not only in length but also it quite deep and the flat bed is too offered .
The new Kiger is offered only in , 1.0 petrol 3 cylinder engine , Distributed as Energy , Energy AMT , Turbo , Turbo CVT .
Kiger is built to compete with other mid size suv like Creta , Sonet and Nexon , and the new Venue , honestly speaking at this price range you do not get any other car with features , as Kiger starts from Rs.7,00,339 (on road ) and top model goes up to Rs.12,53,437*, while its Competitors are slightly expensive .
