Hyundai has lunched the Hyundai venue , the looks have been refreshed and with lot more features , We have reviewed the Hyundai Venue SX plus , IMT variant – the same is also available in dual tone .
The exterior look has been refreshed with the chrome finish grilles similar to the Hyundai Alcazar along with it you also get a piano black finish , the front facia looks more bolder .Downwards you get the smaller blacked out grilles and also skid plate making front more enhanced and attractive . But no Fog lamps but instead you get the vents for the tyre if you look closely on the down bumpers end , Turn indicators design has also been refreshed and downwards you get the projector with led DRL’s and the lights are cornering feature which is quite a great safety feature especially for the newer drivers and also useful in monsoon season . On the side you get the 16 inch tubeless radial alloys with the McPherson front suspension and you get a rear Coupled torsion beam axle suspension , and disc brake for front and drum brake for rear . Also on the fender you get the IMT badging ,the new venue is 3995 m in length and , width of 1770 m with a wheelbase of 2500 m .Also you get the chrome finish door handles with the request sensor too , The rear has also been refreshed with the completely new designed led taillights with a connecting led in middle . The rear also looks quite good and interesting but on looking i felt like it is similar to the Hyundai Casper with some twerk here and there . Let us know about your opinion . Downwards you get the black hard fiber with parking sensors , and reflectors have also been added on the little inside of end of the bumpers
There are quite changes on the inside too , starting with the seat , you now get a 4 way power seats for adjusting the leg space and height of the seat as well . Dual tone interiors in Black and Beidge . D cut Power steering wheel with steering mount control , phone and Bluetooth connectivity and cruise control is offered in the new Hyundai Venue which is tilt adjustable . The instrument cluster is fully digital with TFT & MID display .paddle shifters (for DCT) , tyre pressure monitor, six airbags, ESP . Further for the comfort and connivence and Entertainment you get 8 inch infotainment screen with Bluelink connectivity , with android auto and apple car play support .Multiple Regional Language ,Ambient Sounds of Nature ,Home to Car(H2C) with Alexa & Google Voice Assistant, Firmware Over-air-Air (FOTA) Update The sound system is also good , you get 4 speakers and 2 front tweeters . Cool glove box is also given
. Talking about the space , the leg space and headroom is good in front and in the rear ,on the rear seats what i feel is that you get a little extra space for stretching the legs , also rear ac vents is given .Owing to its narrow width, however, three adults abreast at the rear will be a bit of a squeeze.
Safety Featuers
The new Hyundai Venue gets various safety featuers right from the 6 airbags , hill descent control , abs , ebd , Tyre Pressure Monitor ,Vehicle Stability Control System ,Engine Immobilizer Crash Sensor ,Engine Check Warning ,Automatic Headlamps Headlamp Escort Function, Rear Defogger with Timer ,Burglar Alarm, Pretensioners & Force Limiter Seatbelts and also during the launch , hyundai also claimed that the new Venue gets 30 plus connected feature .Also in DCT , you do get 3 , different driving modes .
Boot space
You do get an ample boot space with a detachable tray , you get a 343 liters which I feel is less compared to previous gen Venue which was 350 liters of boot space . and also you get a full size spare wheel .
Engine and performance
The new Hyundai venue is powered by 2 petrol Engine and 1 Diesel engine. 1.5 U2 CRDi , 1.2 Kappa Petrol and a turbo engine of 1.0 Kappa Turbo GDi ,
As per the Autocar India’s report The Venue shares its diesel with the Verna, Creta and Alcazar, however, unlike its larger siblings, it uses a less-expensive wastegate turbocharger generating 100hp and 240Nm – 15hp and 10Nm lesser . The 6-speed manual has been dropped from the range, so this engine is now paired to either a 6-speed iMT – intelligent manual transmission – or a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic (DCT).
The DCT gets in drive modes, which responds smoothly and shift points – Eco being the most frugal, Sport being the most fun and Normal being the mid setting.
My views
I believe , that the new Hyundai Venue is a good car and quite spacious , although it may not be a robust or toughest but it is good enough, also , if the young buyer is looking to purchase an suv with a sporty looks then he can definitely go for this and also it is little bit cheaper from Hyundai Creta where the Creta starts at RS 10.44 lakhs (ex showroom ) there venue starts from 7.53 lakhs (ex showroom ) . Also it will compete with the upcoming Brezza Facelift .
