Celerio has been one of the most popular and demanded hatchbacks from the well-known manufacturer Maruti Suzuki. The car has been in the good books since the launch. Initially, the car was launched only in petrol version but there were few customers who were demanding a diesel engine so seeing the increase in demand for a diesel engine the company also launched the diesel version in the second quarter of 2015 which was powered by Suzuki’s homegrown 793cc two-cylinder diesel, developing 47bhp at 3,500rpm and 12.7kgm of torque at 2,000rpm. which were limited to 125 units only. Now even it comes with the CNG option too.
Apart from diesel celerio a sporty version called celerio x was launched in the year 2017 and was 8000 rs more expensive than the standard version. while talking about the design personally, I feel the design of the standard celerio and celerio x were almost similar, the only notable differences on celerio x that I found was the x theme-based graphic around the grille in front and protective cladding on the sides and bash plate on the rear bumper. The smeared-eyeliner-like effect beneath the headlights is done in gloss black finish and houses the circular fog lamps. and the celerio x was offered only in petrol manual and automatic or the AGS
Second generation facelift has been teased with refreshed design along with first in class idle start-stop button that was needed for a long time .as per the renders it gets the new grilles along with a set of sharp headlamps with chrome accents giving it a completely new look. along with a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a rear parking camera, and a semi-digital instrument cluster. The company says it would get the next generation k series engine that will be a 90PS 1.2-liter petrol engine with a mild-hybrid system.
yet some of the details are to arrive, but if you are interested in booking a celerio, then there is good news for you, the company has commenced the booking at the token amount of Rs 11000/-As per experts it is expected to launch on 10 November.
