First, let’s talk about the exteriors, where the 2023 Tata Nexon showcases a revamped and refreshed design language. At the front, you are greeted with futuristic-looking LED Daytime Running Lights (DRLs). What’s truly groundbreaking is the inclusion of sequential LED DRLs, a first in Tata Motors’ lineup. Following the trend of moving headlamps downward, the Nexon now features bi-function LED headlamps.
Distinct from its predecessor, a sleek upper grille that proudly displays the Tata logo connects the DRLs.. With fog lamps now a thing of the past, the lower half of the bumper boasts a larger grille, accentuated by a robust plastic bar with a faux skid plate.

The platform of the 2023 Tata Nexon remains unchanged but sports several tweaks, such as new aero-insert alloy designs that significantly enhance its aesthetic appeal.

Moving to the rear, you’ll find a fresh design featuring sharp LED taillamps and a full-width LED light bar, reminiscent of the all-new i20. Speaking of which, the i20 facelift is also on the horizon.

Now, let’s explore the game-changing aspect of the Nexon – its interiors. The 2023 Nexon presents a head-turning, three-tone scheme inspired by Tata’s Curv concept. The touchscreen has also received a substantial upgrade, boasting a larger 10-inch display, first introduced in the EV Max. For the first time in Tata’s lineup, you’ll find a two-spoke sporty steering wheel, creating a sporty and dynamic ambiance.
The interiors are designed with a minimalist approach in mind . With fewer toggles primarily reserved for HVAC controls and a user-friendly touch panel. To elevate the premium feel, the Nexon now features a sleek carbon finish on the dashboard and comfortable leather seats.
The top-tier variant of the Nexon impresses with a 360-degree camera setup, connected car technology IRA 2.0 . A wireless charger, ventilated front seats, an air purifier, more in the features, with further details yet to be revealed. A significant upgrade has been received by the driver display, which now sports a full-size digital cluster

Safety

In terms of safety, six airbags come as standard equipment in the Nexon, along with Electronic Stability Control (ESC), three-point seat belts for all passengers, ISOFIX child seat anchors, and emergency and breakdown call assist.

Power and performance


Under the hood, the new Nexon retains the ongoing 1.2 turbo-petrol and 1.5 diesel engines, paired with a choice of four gearboxes . A 5-speed manual, a 6-speed manual, a 6-speed AMT (Automated Manual Transmission), and a 7-speed Dual Clutch Automatic (DCA) with paddle shifters. Tata refers to this transmission as the Dual Clutch Automatic.

Nomenclature of the varaints


With the arrival of the new generation, Tata Motors has also introduced a new naming scheme. The previous nomenclature is replaced with Smart, Smart+, Smart+ (S), Pure, Pure (S), Creative, Creative+, Creative+ (S), Fearless, Fearless (S), and Fearless+ (S) trims. The ‘plus’ signifies optional packages bundled with additional features, while ‘(S)’ denotes variants equipped with a sunroof.

Competition

In terms of competition, the Tata Nexon continues to contend with familiar rivals, including the XUV 300, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Maruti Suzuki Fronx, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Renault Kiger, and Nissan Magnite.
