There are many fans out there for the Italian super car maker – Lamborghini , and the same fan base has also increased even in India . As a result , it posted a record sales of 69 cars, a growth of 86 per cent, in 2021 in the country . Seeing this massive growth , the company’s Chairman and CEO Stephan Winkelmann said that there is a ” great opportunity of growth in India and wealthy individuals.” And in my opinion , it is true because there are lot of car enthusiasts and especially during the 20th century .
Seeing this crazy fan base for the super sports cars not only for Lamborghini but also for other luxury car brands , Lamborghini plans on expanding its business in India by introducing the hybrid vehicles but not until the end of the decade, around 2028 which is their part of global electrification, where company has plans for first going hybrid and then fully electrical .
The probable cars that will get a hybrid engine include the Lamborghini Aventador followed by Urus where the Aventador is expected to get a new V12 which may be marginally smaller in capacity with a plug-in hybrid set-up with an electric-only mode. unlike the energy retaining super-capacitors used on the limited-edition Countach LPI 800-4, this car will use regular Lithium-ion batteries. And the Lamborghini SUV – Urus is expected to arrive with more lighter and powerful engine , generating the torque output close to the 900Nm mark. And the new version may be called EVO -Urus Evo .Followed by Lamborghini Huracan .
As per Autocar India’s report , Lamborghini’s full EV may be the first electric model will be more versatile . It is likely to include level-four autonomous driving which if arrives will be great , to make it more useable in city driving and is likely to be space efficient as well.
