Lucid Air – A competition to tesla

Lucid is a California based car company which comes under the Lucid Group, Inc , which was founded in the year 2007 , during that time the the successful Electric car manufacturer Tesla was also being developed , but this is not about Tesla , initially the name was not lucid and was called  Atieva . during that time the manufacturer only used to produce electric vehicle batteries and powertrains for other vehicle manufacturers. And finally after seeing the Growth of Tesla , the company got a idea that we can also get into the business of manufacturing and selling cars and finally in the year 2016 rebranded the company name to LUCID and enter the business .You can check out the history of the company on various articles on internet , but today i am going to tell you about the car which can compete to the Tesla .

Lucid Air is the first production model car Available in lucid . The front facia looks quite futuristic, it looks some way inspired from Tesla . You get the sleek , Intelligent Micro Lens Array headlamps and sweeping speed form taillight ,which looks somewhat similar to the Porsche Panamera , even the rear profile looks same , the car gets 19 inch alloys as standard and 20 inch and 21 inch as an option , the wheel base is also longer ie 116.54 inches and is
55.51 inches in height , so yes do get a good amount of headroom ie around 39 inches and at a maximum you get a front leg space of around 45 inch and in the rear you get around 35 inch space .overall the exterior looks aerodynamic. Apart from Aerodynamic design , the interior is also quite premium . On the interior you get a 34 inch , jet inspired ,glass cockpit which is something unique and i think the first in the industry , not only this the steering wheel is also quite sporty but what makes the steering wheel different is the turbines and capacitive touch bar. In the center for controlling the Audio system and auto ac , you get a physical rocker and roller button which is again something new , along with a retractable center display which is fingertip activated . Lucid Air also maximizes storage, giving you SUV-levels of space. The clamshell-style decklid opens to reveal a large bi-level trunk, while beneath the hood you’ll find an enormous frunk And the sound quality is good cause the car gets 21 speakers with Dolby atoms again the first in the industry . Air also gets an optional solid glass roof covering the entire cabin almost without interruption which is similar to jaguar i pace giving everyone in the car a gorgeous view of the sky above.

If the car is offered with so many features and of course the safety features are also great .The car gets all the Autonomous level 2 and probably level 3 system with self drive abilities via over-the-air updates, as per car and driver’s report this will be available within 3 years . the Glass Canopy has a slew of protective interlayers to block out heat and sunlight.

The Air is powered by Dual Active Core motor which will be offered in different variants- Air Pure, Air Touring, Air Grand Touring and Air Dream Edition Performance ,Air Dream Edition Performance that generates 480 hp, 620 hp, 800 hp,933 hp, 1,111 hp respectively , the car is so powerful that it can go up to 0 to 60 mph ie 2.5 secs .
