Overview

Due to the Increasing Demand for EV cars, Many automobile Manufacturers have started plans for producing EV vehicles along with the standard fuel car, and one such manufacturer is our Indian car company -Tata with the successful EV cars from Tata Nexon EV, Tata Tigor Ev and more. Not only this Tata also has further plans for the EV cars Right from the Tata sierra EV concept to VIsion next concept and more, so in this article, we are going to tell you about the same.

Current products in EV by Tata and response

As mentioned earlier, tata has introduced electric passengers cars and one of the first manufacturers to introduce successful electric cars with the first car, its 5-star global NCAP rated SUV – Tata Nexon, people have shown positive response to the same and also govt provided a benefit of subsidy for the same in the initial phase, then later it also introduced the EV in Tigor which is another stylish sedan.

Tata E vision concept and other ev concepts

You may probably have heard or seen a walk-around video about the Tata e vision concept, but it never got launched till now.

Tata E vision concept was first showcased at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show, On the front, you get a sleek headlamp with the grilles just like the tata Harrier, the car was showcased with large size alloys and with the new style of mirrors, rear with the slim taillamps, even the interiors were futuristic unlike the other cars and got the Ferrari inspired passenger display and more. But it never launched because it was just a concept car and even though if in future tata plans on the production model, it needs to fully bring in the technology of EV Cars, the EV segment in India and the world have started at the end of 2019:s and beginning of 2020 (post covid ) but that too at a very basic level, secondly there was also various rumors about the car to be launched in 2019 but it was all false because developing a high tech EV requires a lot of development, improvements, efficient and sustainable technology and the most basic thing the fuel- Electricity, the electric power plants, and the related infrastructure are needed to be installed at various places which will take another some time, I have also written an article about the same which you can check – https://motocharged.com/2021/09/exclusive-scoop/is-electric-car-worth-buying-in-2021-or-should-we-hault

The other electric concept is the Tata sierra EV -, talking about the Tata Sierra, it was one of the most popular cars of the 90;s because of its 3 door styling, SUV body line, although the SUV segment grew after 2010, and is also used to get a lot of premium features which were not seen in other cars such as power windows, power steering and more. The craze of sierra was not less than today’s premium SUVs from BMW, Mercedes, and other luxury brands. So Tata motors had also showcased the Tata sierra electric SUV concept too .as per the experts, Tata Motors will bring back the Tata Sierra as a standalone electric car, which will be based on the Sigma platform. Tata plans to integrate modern technology along with the traditional or nostalgic look. but the launch date of this is also yet to be revealed, so don’t believe any rumors or false statements until official statements arrive. But as per some automobile magazine experts, the Sierra will be relaunched only in an all-electric version.

Probable EV’s from Tata

Tata has plans of expanding the EV line up under its sub-brand which is specifically for the EV’s by adding up the cars utilizing existing modular architectures (ALFA and OMEGA) Tata is selling two high-voltage EV in the country below the price range of Rs. 20 lakh, certainly targeted at the mass market audience and equipped with lithium-ion battery packs. As per experts, Tata will bring 10 Evs in the market which might include the facelift of Nexon Ev, then Tiago EV, and also Altroz Ev. As per Autocar India’s article tata is also working onTta Nexon Coupe which will be pure-electric along with the Tata sierra and also more may be introduced under its ziptron technology.

also, Mahindra has teased that it will also bring 3 new SUVs which will be all-electric. As shown in the teaser, the development is made in collaboration with Mahindra Advanced Design Europe. Although Mahindra had introduced the Ev a long time back the Reva as shown by Motor Beams’ Faisal khan and the team, now we will get new and improved technology.
